We are Perigee Aerospace, a South Korean rocket company that manufactures a two-stage launch vehicle called Blue Whale 1, with the capacity to place up to 200 kg into a 500 km Sun-Synchronous Orbit.

Perigee Aerospace is a space startup dedicated to developing and providing launch services for the most efficient and economical space launch vehicles for small satellites. The Blue Whale 1, a compact launch vehicle with a length of 21 meters, a diameter of 1.6 meters, and a takeoff mass of approximately 20 tons, is built on Perigee Aerospace's proprietary low-cost, high-performance liquid methane rocket engine technology, low-cost lightweight carbon composite airframe technology, and a cost-efficient, highly reliable flight control system. A test launch is scheduled for 2024. Since its founding in 2018, Perigee Aerospace has established its headquarters in Daejeon, with branches at the Rocket Development Complex in Okcheon, Chungbuk, as well as in Seoul and Jeju. Through offshore launches from Jeju, the company is not only advancing into the global space market but also leading the way in fully domestic space launch services.
