The 40mm Autocannon (K40) is an automatic cannon developed in South Korea with a 40mm caliber, primarily designed to counter low-altitude aerial threats as part of an air defense system. Based on the existing Bofors L/70 40mm autocannon, the K40 has been upgraded to meet South Korea's technological capabilities and operational requirements. It is mounted on vehicles, naval vessels, and fixed defensive systems, providing multi-purpose defensive and offensive capabilities.
